I'm in the process of writing a grant proposal to the folks at Global Voices, more specifically - to their Rising Voices outreach program, designed to bring more folks from the developing world into the blogosphere - as writers, photojournalists, videographers, and podcasters. Their reason for this is the fact that a HIGH percentage of bloggers are elite folks (with money, resources, etc) from the developed world.What remains to be seen: will they include Hawai's rural residents in the "developing world" category? They're certainly not part of Hawai`i's "elite".
Will keep you posted on the progress...in the meantime, enjoy my new glasses.
